SecSys plans access-point placement, coverage, capacity, channels, transmit power, roaming, secure authentication, guest access, separate staff/tenant/device networks, performance testing, interference troubleshooting, and cloud management.

Access points should be placed according to coverage and capacity requirements, not simply where cabling is easiest.

users.

Power over Ethernet

PoE planning must consider device requirements, switch power budget, port-level availability, cable distance, compatibility, backup power, heat, ventilation, and future additions.

A switch may have enough ports but insufficient PoE capacity.

SecSys supports organized racks, patch panels, cable management, managed switches, gateways, fibre termination, power distribution, UPS, shelves, ventilation, secure enclosures, labelling, port documentation, and diagrams.

Point-to-point wireless may connect separate buildings, gates, garages, parking areas, remote cameras, warehouses, temporary sites, outdoor equipment, and locations where underground cable is impractical.

Troubleshooting includes offline devices, intermittent connectivity, slow performance, poor Wi-Fi, interference, IP conflicts, camera/access/intercom communication, PoE restarts, cable damage, switch failures, VLAN errors, remote-access failures, gateway or firewall issues, unstable wireless links, and undocumented changes.

Monitoring and Commissioning

Monitoring may include device availability, internet status, switch and AP health, firmware, backups, performance review, inventory, reporting, and upgrade planning.

Commissioning includes gateway and switch configuration, VLANs, firewall policies, PoE verification, addressing, AP coverage, point-to-point testing, internet testing, security-system communication, remote access, performance testing, firmware review, backups, labelling, and documentation.
